Sansevieria cylindrica are particularly elegant house plants, with their smooth, round, spear-like foliage. This 'Straight' cultivar stands to attention and the striking grey-green variegation adds to its appeal as a perfect plant for any stylish, contemporary home.
Please note: some scarring may occur on the leaves.
Living life on the edge! Make sure to water your cylindrica around the edge of its grow pot, avoiding the middle stems as this can cause the plant to rot easily.
Squeaky clean! Make sure to wipe the stems of your cylindrica regularly to remove any dust and help maximise its air purifying powers.
Happy families! You can propagate your Sansevieria by gently removing any “pups” (smaller self-contained leaves), cutting directly below the root and placing them into a separate grow pot.
Sanseviera cylindrica Straight does best in moderate to bright, indirect light, but can also adapt to low light conditions if preferred.
Allow the soil to completely dry out before watering. Water thoroughly and allow to drain freely. Don't allow the plant to sit in water as this will cause root rot.
This Snake Plant is happy in places with temperatures between 15°C and 23°C and as low as 10°C for short periods.
The cylindrica Straight will do fine in normal household humidity. Avoid humid locations but if brown tips develop, consider occasional misting.
Apply a weak dose of cactus or general purpose feed once a month at most during the growing season. Sansevieria are low maintenance plants and don't need a lot of food.
